Demanding a fair share for Aberdeen
Aberdeen gets 75% less per person than Glasgow in Scottish Government General Revenue Funding. The pitiful amount we get is a disgrace considering the huge tax contribution this city has made over the years. But sadly, when it comes to giving Aberdeen a fair share, the SNP have short arms and long pockets.
Opposing the SNP-Green workplace parking tax
This punitive policy to introduce a workplace car park tax will hit your pocket when household budgets are already stretched. I will continue to oppose this, to ensure that hard-working people are not punished for simply going to work.
Supporting Aberdeen jobs
The Scottish Conservatives are the only party standing up for Aberdeen's energy industry. The SNP-Greens say no new fields should be allowed to go ahead. But it is clear, damaging our own domestic energy industry (and increasing our reliance on imports) will increase energy bills. To ensure our country's energy security, we need to be at the start of the pipeline - not at the end of it.
Boosting broadband
The rollout of full fibre broadband, allowing households in Aberdeen to access internet speeds of up to 1000mbps, has been a great success. With the growing importance of high-speed internet for work and school, it is essential that Aberdeen’s homes and businesses are not held back by dated infrastructure.
