Gill Tebberen has been selected as one of your Scottish Conservative and Unionist candidates for Lower Deeside Ward alongside fellow Conservative Duncan Massey.
Gill has lived in Aberdeen since the early 1980s and has been an active member of her local church and a Sports & Country Club in Milltimber. Gill loves to support local businesses and is passionate about her community. She is therefore well aware of the problems people are facing in Lower Deeside. Gill said,
“our high streets in Culter and Cults are really struggling right now with a lack of support from the Scottish Government. Aberdeen continues to lack its fair share. I will work tirelessly to ensure that our communities are given the support they need.”
After working as an HR Manager for a local maritime company, Gill is now the Case Manager for Tess White MSP and has a wealth of experience helping people with a wide variety of important issues within Aberdeen. Gill said,
“I believe Lower Deeside should be represented in the Council by someone who works hard, believes in public service and who will deliver no-nonsense results.
“I truly believe that the rich history of our communities should be respected but also that any new development in the area should complement, benefit, and enhance the area, not erode it. The heart of a community is its people, and we have seen that evidenced so well during the pandemic in our area.”
Gill knows how to tackle local issues
Gill’s experience as a Caseworker has motivated her to stand for election, having spent many hours supporting residents, finding solutions to their problems, and working with officials on a daily basis. Gill will represent those who may feel their concerns have not been listened to, and who want an approachable, but influential voice, in the Council.
Retiring Lower Deeside councillor Philip Bell said,
“Gill is one of your Conservative candidates for Lower Deeside. She has provided research and support for an MSP and MP, and would bring significant political experience to the role . I commend Gill to you.”
